On Thursday 18 September, nearly 30 Monegasque organisations working in the field of international solidarity came together for a session of discussion and dialogue.
During an event held at an establishment in Larvotto attended by Ms Isabelle ROSABRUNETTO, Director General of the Department of External Relations and Cooperation, Monaco's Directorate of International Cooperation (DCI) brought together all of Monaco's International Solidarity Organisations (ISOs) in a new, broader and less formal format.
The challenge was to highlight the richness and diversity, both geographical and strategic, of the various structures that make up Monaco's network of associations working to promote international solidarity, with a view to fostering exchanges, mutual assistance and synergies.
Geographical ‘corners’ led by programme managers and representatives from the DCI team helped guide the ISOs in their discussions. Some ad hoc connections were made at the request of the ISOs. The focus was on the complementarity of inter-structural actions, but also on public-private cooperation in order to pool efforts and amplify impact.
Through its Director, Ms Bénédicte SCHUTZ, the DCI reaffirmed its commitment to increasing the budget allocated to the annual call for projects from ISOs, in order to support the growth in the number of approved structures and the quality of the projects submitted.
The next call for projects will therefore be launched in September, with an increase of €100,000 compared to last year, bringing the total budget to €700,000.
The DCI has also committed to continuing to offer training courses for OSIs, as well as providing forums for dialogue and support for the osimonaco.org platform.
