From 3 to 6 October 2016, the Department of International Cooperation (DCI) brought its Technical Coordinators together in Monaco.  These Technical Coordinators are responsible for monitoring projects in the field that are supported by the Prince's Government.

On Monday 3 October, as a prelude to a week of work, the Technical Coordinators, who are an essential liaison point for Monaco's Official Development Assistance in the countries in which it operates, met Gilles Tonelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, who informed them of the cooperation and development policy of the Prince's Government.

The week continued with various workshops to enhance the quality of the aid provided, consolidate links between staff in Monaco and in the field and give an update on current projects.

There are six Technical Coordinators (for Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Tunisia and Burkina Faso).  In addition to monitoring cooperation projects on a day-to-day basis, they play an important role in encouraging dialogue between partners in the field and national authorities.
