Education of vulnerable girls
Girls' education – a fundamental right! – is a catalyst for lasting change. Nine years of school can transform a girl's destiny, her future children's and her country's. School remains the best lever for protection against rights violations.
Education significantly reduces early marriages and pregnancies and protects against child exploitation.
The situation of children, already precarious, has deteriorated sharply with the effects of COVID and the persistence of protracted crises. According to UNESCO, more than 11 million girls in the world may not return to school, destroying the efforts made and reigniting the vicious cycle of poverty.
For the 130 million girls in the world outside the classroom, the Monegasque Cooperation reaffirms its fight for the right of girls to education and to a better and protected life.
