Introduction
H.S.H. the Prince Albert II considers of particular importance the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by the United Nations in September 2015.

The Government of the Principality’s international development policy, which prioritises combatting poverty, reducing inequalities and improving the living conditions of vulnerable people is especially interested in the ten SDGs focused on people, through four main themes:
- Health
- Food security & nutrition
- Education & child protection
- Training, Employment & Entrepreneurship
The Prince’s Government’s Public Aid for Development, implemented by the Department of International Cooperation, supports more than 160 projects every year in 12 partner countries, primarily least developed countries.
The whole Monegasque aid is allocated in the form of grants or technical assistance.
The most vulnerable populations are the core target of Monaco’s international development policy. They include children, women, people with disabilities, refugees/displaced and so on.
There is also a focus on emergency humanitarian aid, given in response to various crises around the world (natural disasters and political conflicts).
Public Aid for Development has been constantly developping since 2015 (58.3M€ for 2018-2020, 74 M€ for 2022-2024, 100 M€ for 2025-2027).
