Awareness: Monaco students take part in Cinema for Change

Close to 600 students from 25 classes in the Principality attended an event at the Théâtre des Variétés yesterday, to vote for their favourite short film for the Children’s Prize at the 13th edition of the Cinema for Change Festival, supported by the Government of Monaco with a view to raising awareness of development and international solidarity.

The festival showcases short films from all over the world that focus on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations in September 2015.

The Monaco students’ votes will be added to those of other child members of the jury attending school in France and in seven partner countries of the Monegasque Cooperation (Burkina Faso, Burundi, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, South Africa, and Tunisia).

The Cinema for Change Festival’s award ceremony will be held in Paris in June.
