1st Mediterranean J-MED meeting

Bringing together projects to support Mediterranean youth, the aim of this event is to showcase, promote and strengthen the skills of the associations that won the 2022 edition.

The Moroccan winners of the call for proposals met for the first time, offering them an opportunity to build new connections and to share good practice, as well as meet and get to know the partners. The institutional investors present (French Embassy in Morocco, Monegasque Office of International Cooperation, French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, French Development Agency) attended presentations of the various innovative projects covering a range of areas including culture, sustainable development, solidarity-based economy, education, and professional integration.

With several editions planned, the purpose of these meetings is to create a link between winning associations, so that they can help each other and join forces to reach a common goal: to support Mediterranean youth.

The event also provided an opportunity for the awardees to take part in the first module of their training course – “How to manage your project successfully” which dealt with the administrative and financial follow-up of project management.

This series of courses provided by the teams belonging to the Mediterranean network Nouvelle Chance is the result of a survey conducted among all of the 33 associations which helped identify the skills needed by each one and best meet their expectations. The next modules will focus on reviewing calls for proposals, responding to a call for proposal, communicating and promoting projects.

By strengthening the technical and operational skills of their structure, the Mediterranean network Nouvelle Chance will help to empower civil society organisations and give them the keys to implement their project for Mediterranean youth successfully.
