Five new International Volunteers of Monaco in Madagascar, Mauritania and Morocco

In Madagascar, Alia Drouin has been recruited as an investment manager with Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P), an impact investment fund that finances and supports small and medium-sized business in Africa. Julie Dumay, an access to employment development manager, is supporting four Malagasy charities working with children and young people living on the streets.

In Mauritania, Adrien Rebours, a partnership development manager, is helping to implement World Food Programme efforts to provide food assistance to nearly 135,000 Mauritanians suffering from food insecurity and 55,000 Malian refugees in the M’bera camp on the Mauritania–Mali border.

In Morocco, Adélie Breil has been recruited to manage local integration at the Country Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (HCR Morocco). Her role primarily involves supporting HCR with implementation of its access to employment programme for refugees.

Finally, Marie Vauban is also in Morocco, where she has joined the Association de l’Enfance Handicapée (AEH) team in Agadir. Her role as an economic inclusion manager is to strengthen AEH’s efforts on access to employment for people with disabilities, with a particular focus on young people with learning difficulties.

All of these assignments form part of the development aid programmes supported by the Prince’s Government. A total of 10 International Volunteers of Monaco were working in the field in April 2018.
