Isabelle Berro-Amadeï presents her New Year address to the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Principality and in residence in France

On Thursday, 18 January 2024, Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, visited Paris to present her New Year address on behalf of the Government of Monaco to the Ambassadors accredited to H.S.H. the Prince and currently in residence in France.

The ceremony, which took place at the Shangri-La Hotel, was attended by diplomatic representatives from over 90 countries, invited by H.E. Mrs Valérie Bruell-Melchior, Monaco's newly appointed Ambassador to France.

Isabelle Berro-Amadeï assured her audience that; "Faced with the challenges that arise from the increasing number of conflicts, Monaco continues to reaffirm its commitment to building a world where cooperation prevails over conflict, where communication replaces mistrust, and where international solidarity guides our actions."

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation also reminded the audience that 2024 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Principality's membership of the Council of Europe and the 75th anniversary of its admission to UNESCO.

Finally, Isabelle Berro-Amadeï confirmed that "Monaco will endeavour to maintain a privileged partnership with the European institutions despite the suspension of negotiations on an association agreement."
