LIFSA 2025: Call for proposals launched today !

The Government of the Principality of Monaco (Department of International Cooperation) and the Alliance Française de Johannesburg are today launching the third edition of the ‘Local Initiatives Fund - South Africa’ (LIFSA), which aims to support civil society initiatives in Gauteng.
The LIFSA fund is designed to support local initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of children under the age of six, young people and women in the townships of Gauteng.
This new Call for Proposals follows the success of the two previous editions in 2021 and 2022, when 35 projects were supported by the Government of the Principality of Monaco and the Alliance Française de Johannesburg with the contribution of partners such as the NGO ILLIS, the Swiss Embassy in South Africa and the French Embassy in South Africa.South African registered civil society organisations (CSOs) are invited to submit project proposals in key areas such as education and training, child protection, entrepreneurship, food security, health, culture and sport. Successful applicants will receive a grant of up to 160,000 Rand.
Applications are open from midday today, 2 December 2024, and will close at midnight on 12 January 2025.
