On Monday 25th November 2024, Mrs Isabelle ROSABRUNETTO, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Government of Monaco, and Mr Luis VASSY, Director of Sciences Po, renewed the partnership between the Monegasque Cooperation and the Mediterranean-Middle East Campus of Sciences Po Paris. The aim of this partnership is to facilitate access to the campus for disadvantaged students from around the Mediterranean and to raise awareness among campus students of development issues and international solidarity.
This renewed signature strengthens the links between the Menton Campus of Sciences Po Paris and the Monaco Government's Department of International Cooperation, which has been supporting the university since 2014.
Thanks to the Monegasque Cooperation, access to the campus will be facilitated by the award of annual scholarships to cover the tuition fees of disadvantaged students from Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco and Mauritania for the academic years 2025 to 2027.
The partnership also aims to organise or support events to raise awareness of development issues and international solidarity. These initiatives include the participation of campus students in the Cinema for Change short film festival, which promotes the Sustainable Development Goals. The project also includes support for the identification of internship opportunities within the DCI and its partners, in order to enrich students' civic education and international experience.
This partnership between Monaco and the Menton Campus of Sciences Po Paris represents a step forward in the commitment to improving access to education and raising awareness of civic issues. By offering practical opportunities to underprivileged students and incorporating development issues and civic commitment into their training, this project embodies a vision of the future in which education and international solidarity are linked.
