This framework agreement is intended to deepen relations of friendship and cooperation with Burundi, a long-standing partner of the Department of International Cooperation*.

Guided by a desire to contribute to the national priorities of development, the Prince’s Government has thus consolidated this commitment alongside the Government of Burundi in the specific fields of health, education and child welfare, food and nutrition security and access to decent work.

Isabelle Berro-Amadeï will travel to Burundi at the end of the month for a working visit during which she will meet with Burundian authorities and cooperation partners as well as meet recipient populations.

 * The Prince’s Government has been active in Burundi since 2008. This support takes the form of various partnerships with international organisations and local stakeholders to develop synergies and ensure the best solutions possible to needs expressed by the State and the population.
