Madagascar: Minister of National Education visits the ECAR Ephata Centre

On 15th March 2021, the Madagascan Minister of National Education, Ms. Marie Michelle Sahondrarimalala, visited the ECAR Ephata Centre, a socially-oriented care centre for visually impaired children and youth in Fianarantsoa, Madagascar, and lent support by the Government of Monaco since it was first established.

Madagascar: distribution of 3,000 paediatric emergency protocol pamphlets

On the initiative of the Société Malgache de Pédiatrie (SOMAPED), and with funding from the Government of Monaco, 3,000 pamphlets giving details of paediatric and neonatal emergency protocols are currently being distributed to healthcare centres in Madagascar.

The Monegasque Cooperation takes part in the official launch of the QUAPEM project in Madagascar

On Tuesday, 17th December 2019, the ceremony marking the official launch of the QUAPEM (Qualité de l’Accueil en Protection de l’Enfance à Madagascar*) project took place in Antananarivo, the purpose of which is to help consolidate the rights of children sheltered or likely to be sheltered in child protection care centres, to their development and personal growth in Madagascar.

Installation of an Innovative Mobile Photovoltaic Unit in Madagascar

On 11 April, an innovative, autonomous, photovoltaic mobile unit was inaugurated in one of the Akamasoa Association's villages, founded by Father Pedro Opeka.  The inauguration took place in the presence of the French Ambassador to Madagascar and the country coordinator from Monaco's Official Development Assistance.

Strengthening bilateral cooperation between Monaco and Madagascar

As part of work to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Principality and Madagascar, a Monegasque delegation* led by Serge Telle, Minister of State, and Gilles Tonelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, travelled to Madagascar from 22 November to 2 December 2016 for a working visit.
